Cover-Up Artist Partner Program

Bare Skin fades the old ink. You create what goes over it. Here's everything you need to know before you join.

Who we are

Bare Skin is Polk County's only dedicated tattoo removal studio, opening November 2026 at 6970 Appaloosa Dr, Building B, Suite 10, Lakeland, FL 33811. We do one thing: laser tattoo removal with the Candela PicoWay®. Every treatment is performed by a licensed APRN. We will never tattoo, so we're not competing for your clients. We want them back in your chair with a better canvas.

What fading does for your canvas

A faded piece gives you design freedom a dark one doesn't.

  • More color options. Lighter and brighter colors become possible instead of going dark to hide the old work.
  • A smaller cover-up. The new piece doesn't have to be oversized just to bury the old lines.
  • Less heavy packing. Less dense black is needed to block out what's underneath.
  • No ghosting. Old linework is less likely to show through as the new tattoo ages.
  • Your design, not a workaround. The client gets the piece they actually want.

Fading for a cover-up usually takes less than full removal, because the goal is light enough for you, not gone. How many treatments a client needs depends on the ink, colors, depth, skin and how their body clears ink. Our APRN gives each client a plan at their free consultation; we never promise a number of sessions. Treatments are spaced weeks apart so the skin can heal. You're welcome to see the client mid-way and tell them when it works for your design.

How referrals work

One card and one sentence. You never collect money, book appointments or fill out forms for us.

  1. You spot a cover-up that would benefit from fading: too dark, too big, or too much old linework to work over cleanly.
  2. You hand the client a Bare Skin partner card from the stand at your station.
  3. The client contacts us. They text (863) 450-1525, request a free photo estimate at bareskintattooremoval.com, or book a free in-person consultation.
  4. Our APRN builds the client's fading plan at their consultation.
  5. We ask the client whether we may share their progress with you. If they agree in writing, you can follow their stage on our partner tracker.
  6. When the client is ready, they come back to you for the cover-up.

Partner shops do not receive commissions, cash, gift cards or free services for referrals. Florida law limits rewards for sending clients to licensed healthcare providers, and our APRN-led studio follows it. Every partner is featured the same way, whether they've sent us one client or none. The welcome credit belongs to the client, has no cash value, and can't be combined with other Bare Skin offers.

What we ask of partners

Every partner does the same simple things, no matter how many clients they send.

Partner commitments

  • One Instagram Collab post when you join, announcing the partnership. It appears on both our feeds.
  • Two story shares tagging @bareskinlakeland: the week you join and the week we open.
  • Keep our card stand at your front desk or station.
  • Tag @bareskinlakeland when you post a cover-up faded at Bare Skin, with your client's OK.
  • A business or creator Instagram account, which Collab posts require.

Optional, and very welcome

  • A fade-to-cover story. With a client's written consent, we document one journey from first fading session to finished cover-up.
  • A pop-up night. We bring a table for free photo estimates during a flash day or busy evening.
  • One sentence when a cover-up is too dark: "Fade it at Bare Skin first, then come back to me."

Partner standards

  • Recommend Bare Skin only when fading truly helps a client's cover-up.
  • Protect client privacy, and never share a client's details with us without their OK.
  • Your shop does not offer laser tattoo removal.
  • Keep your Florida tattoo artist and establishment licenses current.
  • Leave questions about laser results, sessions and pricing to us. Send clients our way for a free consultation.

How to join

Our partner page is curated: we feature artists whose cover-up work we'd send our own clients to.

  1. Send us three healed cover-up photos (not fresh) by Instagram DM to @bareskinlakeland or to hello@bareskintattooremoval.com.
  2. We review your work and reply within a week.
  3. Sign the Cover-Up Artist Partner Agreement, which we email you to review and sign online.
  4. We schedule a short welcome shoot at your shop for your Collab post. You approve every image before it goes up.
  5. You go live on our Cover-Up Artist Partners page the day the Collab post publishes.

Listings are shown by city, then alphabetically, never ranked. Bare Skin may update or remove a listing at any time, and you can ask to be removed whenever you like.

Questions artists ask

What do clients see about my referral?Nothing public. Our partner tracker shows you your clients by initials only, and their progress only if they've agreed in writing.

Can every tattoo be faded?Most can. Our APRN checks the ink, skin type and health history at the consultation and tells the client honestly if fading isn't a good fit.

Does it hurt?Clients feel heat and snapping during treatment. We use skin cooling throughout to keep them comfortable.

What about cosmetic brows?We also lighten old microbladed and powder brows, which helps PMU artists doing a correction.

Who can be treated?Adults 18 and older only.

Is there a contract?Yes, a short partner agreement that covers the commitments above, client privacy, photo use, and that either of us can end the partnership anytime.
